  • We usually get promoted because we're really good at being an individual contributor. But, here's the thing - all of the skills that made you a great IC won't make you a great manager. In fact, they can often get in the way. You get one chance to nail the first 90 days with your new team. This workshop equips newly promoted managers with a strategy for releasing control, holding teams accountable, and developing sustainable processes. Managers are the cultural custodians of an organization, and they are often the primary reason why people stay or leave. A great manager makes all the difference in a person’s performance, and as an effective manager, we can affect true change and growth in the business.   • Feedback is critical to our success and growth, so why is it so hard to do effectively? Because emotions are always at play in the world of work. Rather than working against the emotional component of feedback, if we lean into it, we’ll have a better chance of being heard, integrating feedback, and accelerating growth and productivity with coworkers, clients, and managers.
